Obscene-erotic badges were particularly popular in the late Middle Ages across Northern Europe, especially in the Netherlands, where they were often used for entertainment during carnival festivities. The design, known as the "Phallus Coronation," features a female figure placing a crown on a phallus equipped with a walking stick and a pilgrim’s bag, symbolizing a humorous take on pilgrimage.The badge is crafted from silver-plated bronze and includes an eyelet on the back, allowing it to be worn as a pendant or attached to clothing.
