Forced into a life of servitude to Lolth, after many years of schooling at Arach-Tinilith to become a priestess, Micarraedrin Arabiryn harbored resentment toward her family. She had always been skilled with a sword, but the rules of society did not allow her to use her talents. Micarraedrin Arabiryn felt she was wasting her life, so she decided to take control of her own destiny. She left the Underdark behind. It took some time, but eventually she developed her combat skills further and learned to apply her knowledge as a priestess in combat situations. Now she is one of the most feared fighters on the surface, operating under the cover of darkness...
Drow Fighter chest armor

Drow fighters regularly face danger, which means they run a high risk of injury. That's why armour is a very important part of a fighter's equipment. Drows might be able to avoid injury more easily than some other races, but they are not invulnerable. However, they can get away with wearing less or lighter armour.
This chest armor can be worn over clothing, but also directly on the skin, depending on the look you're going for.
Gorget

Of course, chest armor alone doesn't offer much protection. A gorget helps protect the chest and neck area, but is also needed to wear pauldrons. This specific gorget has an elegant shape, which is why it's perfect for Drow Fighters or other Elven characters.
Pauldrons
To complete Micarraedrin Arabiryn's upper body armour, we added pauldrons to her look. Pauldrons cover the shoulders and in combination with a gorget they keep the area around the neck and shoulders safe from injury. These simple pauldrons go well with the Mina gorget.
Skirt

Micarraedrin Arabiryn wears a long, blood-red skirt. With her Elven elegance and agility, a skirt won't be a hindrance. The red color immediately evokes a sense of danger in anyone who sees her.
Belt
A good, sturdy belt is always a great addition to a fighter's look. Besides being a beautiful accessory, a belt can help you add many other things to your look. In this look we used the belt to add some lower body armour, but also as a place to hang some extra accessories. This really helps bring the character and her background to life.
Thigh armor
If you don't want to work with full body armour, but do want some armour besides upper body armour, you can use thigh armor. Thigh armor protects the thighs without fully covering the legs. This makes them a lighter and more comfortable option than full leg armour.
Sword

The one thing a fighter can't do without is a weapon. Swords are always a popular option and there is plenty of variation among swords. You'll always be able to find a sword that matches the character you want to portray. For Micarraedrin Arabiryn, we wanted something that was more fantasy, but also intimidating.
Shield

Because Micarraedrin Arabiryn doesn't wear full body armour, she carries a shield for extra protection during combat. We wanted the shield to match the vibe of the sword, so we decided to use a shield with "metal" details and a menacing appearance.
For the DIY enthusiast:
Trophies
Drows are generally known as being on the dark side of dnd lore, sometimes even evil. To give a nod to this aspect of the race, Micarraedrin Arabiryn carries some trophies from slain opponents on her belt. A clear message to anyone thinking of crossing her path...
Wig

One of the things that makes a drow recognizable is their silvery white hair. The easiest way to get such a hair color is to wear a wig.
Ears
The ears we used are originally neutral in color, but can be painted. A great advantage is that they come with Mastix spirit glue included:

Other supplies:
Body paint

To get the blue skin color right, we used two products. For the base we used a body spray paint and for the face and finishing touches, water-based make-up. The paint can also be used to paint the ears.
