Medieval red stockings

Stockings reaching to about the knee were a fixed part of women's wardrobes for centuries. From the early Middle Ages through the early modern period, women wore them under their dress, fastened with a band or lace just below the knee. With these red ladies' stockings, you complete your historical outfit, whether you're portraying a re-enactment character from the early or late medieval period or want to complete your costume for a LARP event.

The stockings are made of cotton dyed with natural dyes, giving them a soft, vibrant but non-synthetic colour. Laces to bind them below the knee are included.

The fit is tailored to your shoe size. If the foot section doesn't fit well anyway? Do what people did in the past: cut off the point and sew on a piece of fabric if needed, or simply leave the cut-off point open. To keep the fabric and colour looking good for as long as possible, wash the stockings separately and inside-out by hand in cold water (maximum 30 °C) with a mild detergent.
