Product description
The lorica segmentata was the armor of the Roman legionary, constructed from overlapping steel plates secured together with leather straps and buckles. The Corbridge A-type is one of the best-known variants, named after the discovery site of Corbridge in England, and offers flexible protection of the torso and shoulders while the plate construction allows sufficient freedom of movement for the soldier.
This harness is made from steel, 20 gauge (approx. 1mm), with brass and leather mountings.
