Product description

This drinking horn with stand is beautifully decorated with an Aegisjalmur motif. Aegisjalmur, or Helmet of Awe, is a powerful symbol of Norse mythology and can be seen in manuscripts from the Middle Ages to the eighteenth century. The name is derived from the god Aegir, god of the seas of Jotunheim, the land of the ice giants. In the Edda, the dragon Fafnir says that he is invincible because he wears this symbol. Many Vikings wore this symbol during battle, hoping that it would strengthen them and make them victorious like Fafnir.

This beautiful drinking horn is made of natural horn that has been selected for its light color. You can fill this horn with 0.5 liters of your favorite drink! The exterior is polished to give a smooth, luxurious surface. The inside of the horn has been treated to make it suitable for drinking, and a wax layer has been applied for extra durability. This drinking horn is perfect for festivals, reenactment, LARP or just for an evening on the couch. It is delivered including a hand-forged metal stand.
