Landsknechts were the famous German mercenary soldiers of the late 15th and 16th centuries: infantrymen who, following the Swiss example (the Reislaufer), fought with long pikes and arquebuses, initially in the service of the Habsburg emperors. They played a decisive role in battles such as the Battle of Pavia (1525) and the Siege of Vienna (1529), and became infamous for their exuberant clothing style: bright color combinations, ostentatious cuts and enormous puffed sleeves that defied the strict dress codes of their time.

The Ernst trouser leg is a loose puffed model with which you can create your own Landsknecht trouser leg: combine two different colors or models for the characteristic colorful silhouette. The segmented, pleated construction ensures freedom of movement. You wear the trouser leg over you belt. The sides are adjustable with straps and it is secured below the knee with a cord.
