Product description

Short coats of chainmail like this were worn in the early Middle Ages by, among others, the Vikings. They remained in use until the 11th century and returned in the second half of the 14th century. From the second half of the 14th century, such short coats of mail were called haubergeons, a diminutive of hauberk, or long coat of chainmail. Haubergeons offer optimal protection and more freedom of movement than the hauberk. That is why they were also ideal to wear under the suit of armor. This type of chain mail is made of riveted aluminum rings, mixed with rubber rings. This chainmail is lightweight and stretchable due to the rubber rings.
