Helmets like this were worn from the 5thcentury in whole Europe and Northern Africa. These helmets were worn by the Germanic tribes. Helmets like this were found in a lot of areas, from Spain and Northern Africa to Germany and the Balkans.
The helmet is made of 2 mm thick steel and is provided with cheek flaps that can still be seen on helmets until the 9th century. The nose piece is made of 3 mm thick steel for extra safety. The helmet is provided with a chainmail neck protection and a leather inlay.
It is available in the sizes M (for a head circumference up to 61 cm) and L (for a head circumference up to 64 cm).
