Product description
This fibula is a replica of a 5th-century original found in Pannonia, West Hungary. These fibulae were worn by Germanic ladies in purple at the shoulders. Often a chain with beads or other jewelry was attached between these brooches. Through the Roman legions, which by the end of the empire often consisted of more than 50% Germanic auxiliaries, brooches such as these were distributed throughout Europe and North Africa.
