Odin-amulet with ravens and runes, tin

Scholars see Odin's ravens Huginn and Muninn as more than mythical companions: their names refer to Odin's intellectual and spiritual powers and are reminiscent of shamanic trance journeys, and are also associated with Germanic concepts such as the fylgja (guardian spirit) and the hamingja (good luck charm). Biologist Bernd Heinrich even points to a possible natural symbiosis between humans, ravens and wolves, with the ravens being the "eyes" of Odin and the wolves being his hunters.

This amulet bears the runic inscription Ansuz and comes with a cotton cord. Performed in tin, with dimensions of approx. 3.3 x 4.1 cm.
