Awarse belt, black leather with strap end

This one belt is inspired by the belt trimmings of the Awarens from the Merovingian period. The 1.5 cm wide belt Features a buckle with palmette motif bronze, a response to a find from the 7th-8th century.

The belt is made of sturdy cowhide leather colour black, wax-matt finished and 2.8 to 3.2 mm thick, making it leather develops a beautiful natural patina over time. Two pressed lines along the sides indicate the belt a sleek appearance, and thanks to the generous length you can wear it knotted if you wish. The belt is supplied with a matching strap end, which makes it approximately 5 cm longer.

A decent one belt for reenactment from the early Middle Ages, with a size that you can easily adjust yourself with a hole punch. The parts are not sewn but firmly nailed, which makes the belt makes it extra durable.
