Product description
Trunk hose, also called round hose, were short, voluminous men's trousers that were particularly popular in the second half of the 16th century. They were heavily padded or pleated around the hips and upper thighs to create the characteristic rounded silhouette of the late Renaissance. Trunk hose were combined with a doublet and long stockings and are characteristic of Elizabethan men's fashion.
The trousers feature a wide elastic waistband and an adjustable drawstring with which you can secure the trousers further at the hip. The legs end just above the calf and are finished with elastic. Made of canvas, the trousers are sturdy enough for intensive use while remaining breathable thanks to the generous fit.
