This jewelry is made after the Jarlabanki Runestone from Vallentuna in Sweden. The stone features a Snake which is characteristic of the Urnes style. A Viking art style that was widely used around the 11th century. In Runes it is written: Jarlabanki had these stones built for himself during his lifetime and built this bridge for his salvation, and he owned all of Tábýr.

Runes were letters and each also had its own magical power. Runes gave the wearer strength and protection and were therefore engraved on objects. Runes could also be used for making predictions by volvas
