Early La Tènefibula, small, silvered bronze

Product description

This sober little one fibula dates to the early La Tène period from 400 to 275 BC. and is a typical representative of the La Tène 1 Ba type, with a bulbous base that is bent back in a wide arc towards the bracket. The original is a find from Wiltshire in England.

Performed in silvered bronze, with a size of 4.3 x 11 x 0.9 cm.

Fibula's of this type were widespread as robes in the Celtic Iron Age and in this small version were usually worn as a pair on the shoulders to close the clothing of Celtic women. A nice addition to your equipment for Celtic reenactment.
