Product description
Slops were loose men's trousers worn during the late 16th and early 17th centuries. Unlike the short and heavily constructed trunk hose, slops had longer, more loosely fitted leg openings that could reach around the knee. They were worn by both civilians and soldiers and were combined with a doublet and stockings.
Similar trousers were also worn around the Battle of Pavia in 1525. The fashion style was a further development from the more primitive 15th-century style and was even represented in suits of armor.
