Product description
Slops were loose-fitting men's trousers worn during the late 16th and early 17th centuries. In contrast to the short and heavily constructed trunk hose, slops had longer, more loosely falling trouser legs that could reach down to around the knee. They were worn by both civilians and soldiers and were combined with a doublet and hose.
Similar trousers were also worn around the Battle of Pavia in 1525. The fashion style was a further development of the more primitive 15th century style and was even represented in armor.
