Landsknechts were the famous German mercenary soldiers of the late 15th and 16th centuries: infantrymen who, following the Swiss example (the Reislaufer), fought with long pikes and arquebuses, initially in the service of the Habsburg emperors. They played a decisive role in battles such as the Battle of Pavia (1525) and the Siege of Vienna (1529), and became infamous for their exuberant clothing style: bright color combinations, ostentatious cuts and enormous puffed sleeves that defied the strict dress codes of their time.
The Daniel trouser leg has a stately pleated model with gathered pleats at the knee, inspired by the opulent Landsknecht fashion. You wear the trouser leg over you belt. The sides are adjustable with straps and it is secured below the knee with a cord. Suitable for both left and right legs.
