This one fibula is the authentic replica of a Celtic find from grave 44 at the Moserstein site on the Dürrnberg near Hallein in Austria, where a large number of finds from the La Tène period have been recovered. The circular and angular decorations are typical of this fibula type.
Performed in bronze, with a size of 11.4 x 2.8 x 1.5 cm. Because of the large size is this one fibula ideal for heavy duty cloak made of sturdy fabric to close on the shoulder.
The Certosafibel originated in the 6th-5th century BC. at the transition from the Hallstatt to the La Tène period and was spread from Italy to the Balkans. A nice addition to your equipment for Celtic reenactment.
