Alex Vyncke's Flemish knight kit

In this contribution, Alex Vyncke shows his handmade kite shield, bearing the coat of arms of Flanders.

With the shield, Alex wears a great helm, also known as a pot helm. As a knight, he wears a chainmail hauberk with a two-coloured surcoat over it. In the recognisable colours of Flanders, of course.

In the video he submitted, Alex presents the result of his work and shows how the shield, helm, chainmail and surcoat come together as one complete knight's kit.
