Product description

During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, women wore a petticoat underneath dress. The underskirt provided extra warmth to the legs and gave the dress extra volume and a beautiful silhouette, with an edge that stuck out just below the outer fabric.

This underskirt is made of fine cotton fabric and has ruffles on the lower skirt part, which causes the fabric to fall down in folds and gives the garment you wear over it more volume. The waist is elasticated for a comfortable fit.

Wear this skirt as an underlay under one dress or overdress for extra volume, or separately as an independent garment with a blouse and belt.
