This coin pendant is inspired by jewelry designs from ancient Rome and features a golden Caesar coin set in an ornate bezel. Refined Roman jewelry was initially rare due to a shortage of gold, but as the empire expanded its trade routes and conquered peoples, precious metals and stone became more readily available.
