Learn all about the maintenance of leather goods
Leather is a beautiful material and is often used in historical, LARP and fantasy looks. Leather goods, however, require regular maintenance to prevent drying out.
When it comes to shoes, always make sure the leather is cleaned of mud and dried after each wear. It's also a good idea to treat the leather regularly with leather oil or shoe grease to rehydrate the leather.
Leather belts, bags, pouches and armour should also be treated regularly with oil, wax or polish to prevent them from drying out. If they get wet or dirty, make sure you clean and dry them before rehydrating the leather again, just like with shoes.
