We recommend dry cleaning the Viking cloak only. Stains can generally be brushed out or partially carefully wiped away with a damp cloth. The medieval cloak must not be machine washed and should not be put in the dryer as the woollen fabric may be damaged. If washing is necessary due to heavy soiling, we recommend gently hand washing the cloak in cold water in a bathtub with some wool detergent. It should not be "soaked" in the water. It can then be dried "lying flat" on a towel.
