Product description
This bust replicates a bust of Emperor Tiberius. The original belongs to the collection of the Archaeological Museum of Naples. Artists often painted these statues to make them appear lifelike.
Tiberius Claudius Nero was the second princeps of Rome, succeeding Imperator Caesar Augustus. Despite his splendid military career before becoming princeps, history remembers him as a gloomy and suspicious ruler — earning him the title tristissimus hominum (the saddest person of all).
Handcrafted entirely from alabaster, this bust stands 14 cm tall. It comes with a black pedestal included.
