This medieval headscarf pin features a polyhedron-shaped head, faithfully crafted from an Anglo-Saxon find dating to the 8th–10th century AD. The pin is decorated with a "circle eye" motif, a common design element of the period.

Polyhedron-headed headscarf pins are characteristic of early Anglo-Saxon women's attire and turn up frequently in archaeological discoveries from this era. Women used these pins primarily to secure headscarves or veils to the hair, giving them both a functional and decorative role.
