Product description
These 15th century Maximilian armor mittens feature multiple hinged plates to improve mobility, ideal for historical reenactments.
In gauntlets, the fingers are protected by long plates that cover all the fingers except the thumb. This design creates a stronger and more rigid construction than the smaller, separate plates used in articulated gauntlets. However, the downside of mittens is that they restrict movement more than regular gauntlets.
For extra comfort and improved shock absorption, these gloves are lined with supple suede leather. These mittens are handmade from 16 gauge steel. The total length of one glove is approximately 34 cm (laid flat), making them suitable for almost all sizes.
