These hourglass gauntlets are inspired by originals from the early 15th century. Hourglass gauntlets are particularly suitable for people who want a lot of wrist movement and flexibility during combat. These fully articulated hourglass gauntlets are made from riveted steel of 18 gauge and fully wearable. They are narrow at wrist and flare out widely towards the fingers and forearm, which provides the characteristic hourglass shape. The gauntlets are attached to leather gloves and have an extra leather band across the palm for extra rigidity and grip. The fingers and thumbs are protected by an extra layer of harder leather, which not only provides extra protection but also prevents wear and abrasion of the suede glove.
