Product description

These pauldrons are made in the style of the S18 suit of armor from the armory of Churburg Castle in Northern Italy. Characteristic of this specific set are its integrated besagews which protect the armpits. The S18 suit of armor was made between 1370 and 1410, presumably in Milan, and it was property of the Von Matsch family. It is an early development of the “Milanese” style of white armor, which would become popular with Italian knights throughout the 15th century. The pauldrons have a steel thickness of 1,6 mm, making it suitable for reenactment battles. They come with arming points to easily attach them to an arming doublet or chainmail, with leather cord or aiglet laces.
