Medieval lantern with parchment windows

Product description

This handmade medieval lantern is inspired by historic wooden candle lanterns used in encampments, homes, markets and along travel routes. The lantern is made of natural wood with a visible, unique wood grain, and has a round wooden base plate and a top ring that form a cylindrical frame via six internal rods.

Tightly wrapped parchment paper is stretched around this frame, which gently transmits candlelight for a warm, golden glow instead of a bright direct flame. The candle can be pulled up from above via a movable wooden rod to replace or adjust. A leather cord makes the lantern portable or hangable.
