This eagle fibula is based on a Gothic robe pin from the 5th century, which belonged to a young Eastern Gothic noblewoman who lived between 454 and 489 AD. died during a trip through Thuringia. The eagle motif was adopted by the Goths from Scytho-Sarmatian art and was considered a sign of the resurrection of Christ in early Christianity.

Performed in silvered bronze, measuring 6.5 x 3 x 1.1 cm, equal to the historical original. The reverse depicts the plumage of an eagle in a naturalistic manner, and at the bottom there are three small eyes for a chain hanging between a pair of fibula.
