This is a replica of a Celtic helmet from the 1st century BC, found in Agen in the Paris region. Helmets like this were probably worn throughout Gaul.
Horsehair was probably attached to the helmet top. This helmet is suitable for a maximum head circumference of up to 62 cm. It is made of 1.6 mm thick steel and weighs approximately 2 kg. The inside is inlaid with leather and has a chin strap for attachment.
