Product description
This breastplate brings to life the late medieval and early Renaissance style of the 16th century. One of its signature elements is the raised center rib (tapul) — historically not just decorative, as the rib also increases the structural strength of the plate and helps deflect blows. These types of ribbed breastplates became a common feature of Renaissance armor. The bottom edge is trimmed with a row brass rivets, which develop a dark, natural patina over time for a weathered, authentic look.
This breastplate is made from steel, polished, with rolled edges at neck and arm openings for extra wearing comfort.
