We recommend dry cleaning the Viking cloak only. Dirt spots can generally be brushed out or partially carefully wiped away with a damp cloth. The medieval cloak must not be machine washed and should never go in the dryer as the woollen fabric may be damaged. If washing is necessary due to heavy soiling, we recommend gently hand washing the cloak in cold water in a bathtub with some wool detergent. It must not be "soaked" and left sitting in water. Afterwards it can be dried "lying flat" on a towel.
