Chausses reaching approximately to the knee were for centuries a fixed part of women's wardrobes. From the early medieval period through the early modern era, women wore them under their dress, fastened with a band or lace just below the knee. With these sand color ladies' chausses you complete your historical outfit, whether you're portraying a re-enactment character from the early or late medieval period or want to complete your costume for a LARP event.

The chausses are made of cotton dyed with natural dyes, giving them a soft, lively but non-synthetic tint. Laces to tie them below the knee are included.

The fit is tailored to your shoe size. If the foot part still doesn't fit well? Then do as people did in earlier times: cut off the point and sew on a piece of fabric if needed, or simply leave the cut point open. To keep the fabric and colour as beautiful as possible for as long as possible, wash the chausses separately and inside-out by hand in cold water (maximum 30 °C) with a mild detergent.
