Product description
This loose sleeve brings structured elegance to a Landsknecht outfit from the early sixteenth century. While another sleeve from the same line appears layered and flowing, this design is precise and decorative: the puffed upper sleeve features deep vertical edges, while the under-sleeve displays a repeating petal motif that forms an elegant interlace from elbow to wrist.
The Landsknechts were known for their fur, provocative clothing, a direct result of their exemption from the clothing laws in force at the time. Bright color combinations, asymmetrical cuts, and striking puffed sleeves were their trademark, and this version in red-green continues that tradition.
Made from brushed wool with a soft cotton lining, the sleeve is attached to the eyelets of the matching gambeson using brass-tipped lacing cords. The sleeve is sold loose: combine two copies for a symmetrical look, or mix it with the other sleeve from the same line for an asymmetrical, personal style. Available in size S through 2XL.
