Miyamoto Musashi (1584-1645) is considered the greatest katana swordsman of all time. This katana is based on 17th century originals and is named after him.
This katana features a blade made of carbon steel with a hardness of 52-55 HRC. It is made in the Shinogi-Zukuri style with Hohlkehle (Bo-Hi). The razor sharp blade is finished with Hamon.
The grip is made in the classic Hineri-Maki style. It is wrapped with rye skin and rough woven cotton. The grip is fitted with two bamboo pegs (Mekugi) which attach it to the tang construction (nakago).
This katana is supplied including a wood scabbard. The scabbard is made in the Kuroro style.
This katana is 103 cm long, has a blade of 72 cm long and weighs 1000 grams.
