Product description
This tunic with narrow red stripes (clavi) is modeled after the angusticlavia, the tunic which was worn in ancient Rome by men of the knighthood (equites) and which usually remained visible under the toga. The two narrow stripes - in contrast to the wider stripes of a senator - marked the status of the wearer without claiming the allure of a senatorial laticlavus.
Made from 100% organically grown cotton (Cotonea, GOTS/IVN Best certified), machine washable. A versatile garment for reenactment, museum education and history education.
