Do you want to switch to ecommerce, are you looking for extra work alongside your business during the spring and summer months, or are you a freelancer looking for interesting projects? A lot is possible with us.

Who are we?

Celtic WebMerchant is the only webshop of its size in the Benelux in the field of LARP, reenactment & fantasy. In 2025, we will have existed for 19 years! Currently, we have a team of 7 full/part-timers. A small company means short lines, direct contact with the owners, and plenty of room for initiative. Your ideas and improvements really make a difference.

What kind of people are we looking for?
 

You will be part of a small team where collaboration, thinking along, and taking action are central. We are looking for people with a proactive and problem-solving attitude, who enjoy learning new things and taking responsibility.

What we value:

- Affinity with LARP / reenactment / fantasy / festivals like Castlefest and Elfia
- You don't mind alternating between practical work and computer work
- You are a jack-of-all-trades or want to become one
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset: you don't wait but take action
- You can independently find things out and come up with solutions

Experience in ecommerce is not required. However, we expect you to quickly learn to work with our Shopify back-office system, think easily in digital systems, and have no problems with digital work. With the help of our AI companion 'Sidekick', you will quickly master the ins and outs of Shopify.

Backgrounds that fit well with us

We have good experiences with colleaguess from, among others:

- Art academies (illustration, animation, etc.)
- Graphic Lyceum
- MBO courses in IT and web development
- Technical HBO courses, for example, industrial design and IT

Many team members also have their own creative business. We are hard workers, and our mentality is simple: no nonsense, just work.

Our view on AI

We let creative work be done by professionals: graduates of art academies and graphic courses take care of photoshoots, illustrations, modeling, and image editing. Content is written by university graduates such as linguists and historians, and by customers from the community.

We use AI where the work is repetitive or scalable, such as:

- Support with large amounts of photo editing
- Processing large amounts of content
- Checking grammar and text structure
- Translations (proofreading is done by linguists)
- Automation of back-office processes
 

We see AI as a tool that makes work more enjoyable, allowing us to focus on our products, the community, and new ideas.

 

Examples of Work

 

Depending on your profile, you can work on:

- Inventory management
- Stocking products
- Packing packages
- Shopify back office tasks
- Product management (adding, tags, filters, maintenance)
- AI automation projects (customer service, accounting, etc.)
- IT projects in collaboration with external parties
(such as Google Shopping, AI shopping, and integrations)
 

We Offer

- A fixed-term contract with a set number of hours
(with a pleasant collaboration, we are open to a permanent contract after 3 years)
or collaboration on a freelance basis via invoicing
- A market-conform hourly wage according to the e-commerce collective labor agreement
- Travel allowance or a train subscription
- 3 free festival tickets per year, for example, a passe-partout for Castlefest
- Pension scheme
- Working hours possible in consultation between 07:00 and 22:00

- Modeling Work -

Is modeling your great hobby? We regularly look for models for marketing purposes.

We invite you to come to our photo studio in Sliedrecht (South Holland) to take photo’s with us. A duo shoot with a partner is also possible, or an outdoor shoot in the Dutch nature.

We use the photo’s for the webshop (product photo’s, banners), brochures, social media, online ads, and similar marketing purposes.

What do you get?
- Per photoshoot, you receive 100 euros in store credit at CelticWebMerchant
- You receive travel reimbursement

- Beautiful photo’s of yourself in a nice costume

Conditions
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have experience as a (hobby) model
- You have a passion for LARP / reenactment / fantasy etc.
- You live in the Netherlands or Flanders
