Product description

This Roman scutum is made after several examples of originals from the 1st century AD. Around this period shields had a rectangular shape.

This shield is 1,2 cm thick and made of several layers of wood. It is covered with red dyed linen. The back is strenghened with narrow wooden slats. The shield can be carried with a grip behind the umbo. Its height is 107 cm, its width is 59 cm (including the curve) and it weighs 6 kg.
