Product description

This needle case is a replica of a 9th-10th century original excavated together with another needle case in grave 515 in the Viking town of Birka. Needles were much more expensive than modern needles, so they were kept safe very well. This needle case was fastened to the belt with a lace. This beautifully decorated needle case had a functional and a decorative function.
