This high quality Viking knife is inspired by original Viking knives. It has a unique beautiful wooden grip with a bone ring. The bone ring contains an image of Huginn and Muninn, the ravens of Odin. According to Norse mythology, they flew around Asgard and Midgard all day and flew back in the evening to report to Odin everything they saw. The top and bottom of the grip are decorated with red and brass round plates, which gives the knife a highly luxurious effect. The top of the knife has a brass ring with a black ribbon. The blade is made from Damascus steel. This steel is named after the capital of Syria, Damascus, where the steel was invented. Damascus steel is a type of steel composed of two or more different steel types. A higher carbon steel and a milder steel are repeatedly forged and folded. This creates a special pattern in the blade. In the Middle Ages it was thought that this steel had magical properties. Modern fantasy series also use Damascus steel to portray magical steels, such as the Valyrian steel in Game of Thrones. Damascus steel combines the good properties of softer and harder steel, resulting in higher hardness, strength, durability and flexibility. The leather scabbard is richly decorated with brass fittings. The fittings have small triangular and round decorative motifs. It has a ring so that you can tie it to your belt with a lace. The knife is sharp and suitable for practical use such as cutting wood, leather and other materials.

Prevent rust and corrosion by oiling your weapons regularly. Remove rust easily with black sandpaper. Remove burrs with a whetstone. Make sure you have removed all burrs before using a battle-ready weapon, as they can cause wounds.
Maintenance & care
Just as with weaponry, you can care for your shoes and leatherware by applying a little Ballistol after cleaning. This prevents the leather from drying out.
The original method of making Damascus steel from Wootz steel was lost in the modern era. Nowadays, the name Damascus steel is used as a generic term for pattern welded / laminated or melted steel made out of two or more different steel types.
