Product description

This chain end is based on a 10th century original found in the Viking hoard of Terslev in Denmark. The original is now part of the collection of the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen. The original was granulated, each stud was soldered to the piece of jewelry by hand. This replica is however semi-granulated, it is cast in one piece. In the Early Middle Ages, items like this were used as ends for necklace chains, chains consisting of several strands and as ends for bracelets and torques.
