This beautiful axe by Mytholon has a hand-forged finish so it looks very authentic, with hammer blows in the steel of the axe head. The Vikings used an axe as an everyday tool, for chopping wood and similar chores. The axe was also used as a weapon on the battlefield. This axe is great for the Viking reenactment camp and for chopping wood. When you blunten it, it is suitable for reenactment battles.

Prevent rust and corrosion by oiling your weapons regularly. Remove rust easily with black sandpaper. Remove burrs with a whetstone. Make sure you have removed all burrs before using a battle-ready weapon, as they can cause wounds.
