This armet is a replica of a 16th century original from Austria. Helmets like this occurred with the most eccentric appearances. They were mainly worn during tournaments. The original is nowadays part of the collection of the Hofjagd- und Rüstkammer of Vienna.
The helmet is made in the shape of a crow or raven. The slits for the eyes are made above the styled eyebrows of the animal. The beak is crooked and contains air holes and the sides of the head were extra protected by two crenated roundels. This helmet is custom made, click here to download the size table.
