This hand-forged utility knife is based on historical originals from the (early) Middle Ages. Knives like this were used for centuries for all kinds of odd jobs such as cutting leather, food, wood and the like. For centuries, this type of knife was worn on the belt, just as we now have a pocket knife in our pocket.
This utility knife is hand-forged from carbon steel and comes with a leather sheath with loop so that you can hang it on your belt or hang it in a workshop. A wonderful accessory for re-enactors, LARP and reconstructions of blacksmiths, peasants, hunters and other workmen.

Tip: How to adjust the finish of your armour and weaponry
Luxurious (polished)- polish the steel with metal polish or toothpaste. You can even give the item a mirror-like polish. Test on a small surface first!
Handmade (matte)- soak the steel in cola for 40 minutes to 20 hours. Check regularly and treat with black sandpaper.
Antique (patinated) leave the steel to rust for some time in a damp environment, preferably outside. Remove the red layer of rust, to reveal the corroded top layer.
