Product description

This hand-and-a-half sword provides a good combination of weight and force. It has a short and deep fuller to make the sword lighter and better balanced. Hand-and-a-half swords like this were mainly popular in the 15th century. It has a type T (scent stopper) pommel that was mainly used in Germany.

The blade is made of carbon steel with a hardness of HRC 50 ? 53. It is provided with a hard wooden grip that is covered with black leather. This sword has a length of 119 cm, a blade of 88,90 cm and it weighs approx. 1 kg. The point of balance is situated approx. 8 cm below the cross-guard.

This sword is an Oakeshott type XVIIIa.
