Product description

This antler and top part of the skull roof come from a red deer that has lived in the wild. The red deer is also known as the king of the forest. In Celtic religion, it is represented by the god Cernunnos. Deer skulls and antlers have been used for ritual purposes since the Neolithic period. Two examples of this are the antler found in Biesdorf, Germany, dating back to 9000 BCE, and the one from Star Carr in England. This antler can be used for decorative purposes such as home decoration or camp decoration. It can also be used as a headdress. Tip: To use the antler as a headdress, you can make the inside of the skull smoother. It can be attached to the head with leather cords. The skull has four holes through which the major nerves passed, two near the eye socket and two near the neck. These are ideal for threading cords through. This antler is a product of hunting. We collaborate with someone who has a license to hunt these red deer. The antlers are sourced from Germany. Note: the dimensions vary per skull.
