This bowl is a replica of an original from the 1st century AD. Bowls like this were used all over the Roman Empire between the 1st and 3rd century AD. They were used to burn incense, for example at the Lararium.

This bowl is completely handmade with clay from the Rhine area. It is handmade on a potter`s wheel. It has a length of 13 cm and a diameter of 18 cm.
