This bag is a replica of a 2nd-3rd century original excavated in Barger-Compascuum near Emmen, the Netherlands.

The bag is handmade of a high quality calfskin and it measures 22 x 5 x 26 cm. It can be closed with a strap on the inside and it contains two compartments. The leather has a decorative finish, just like the original. The bag has a cord to wear it on the belt or the arm. Bags like this were used by the the army and citizens for transporting money and other possessions.

Maintenance & care
