Product description

New from Red Dragon (known for their high-quality HEMA synthetic training swords) is this line of high-level historical replica swords. These swords come with a leather scabbard and are made from high-quality steel with excellent hardness.

This sword is based on originals from the Viking Age. Swords like this were used throughout Northern Europe around the 10th century. This sword features a five-lobed pommel, which was more common than the seven-lobed pommels. The Petersen Type S pommel is dominated by a large central lobe, flanked by several smaller lobes.

This sword has a wooden scabbard wrapped in brown leather with a brown leather grip. The edge is 1.5mm thick. The blade is tempered and made of EN42J spring steel. It has a core hardness of 45 HRC, and the edge has a hardness of 50 HRC. Due to the two different hardness levels, the sword is flexible and less brittle than comparable models. This sword is a combination of excellent craftsmanship and years of HEMA experience.
